I understand how overwhelming a time of loss and grief can be, so:

I make sure my writing turn-around for obituaries is guaranteed within 3 days.
I work with you via email, checking my inbox constantly from 11am – 10pm every day, including weekends.
Cost for a 1,000 word obituary is only US$500 and payable by credit card or Paypal.
After payment, I send you an initial list of questions, so you can easily answer them in your own time.

Life and death are brothers who dwell together.
They cling to each other and cannot be separated.

− Bahya Ibn Pakuda, Duties of the Heart

We are all potential Buddhas, and we all desire to live in peace and die in peace.

− Sogyal Rinpoche, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying

O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?

− 1 Corinthians 15:5

My obituary template differs from those you see in newspapers. It aims to re-create who you or your loved ones are, as if you’re the protagonist in your own novel, or the star in your own film.

In the beginning of each obituary I write an ‘imagined’ scene set in real time, of an event of your choosing: the birth of a child, a wedding day, a memorable holiday, even a simple scene that reveals something authentic and intimate – at home with the kids, or listening to music, gardening, swimming, walking, having dinner.

After this self-contained ‘prologue’, the obituary is written in a traditional chronological style, from birth to day of death.

Your obituary doesn’t have to necessarily be an eulogy if that’s not what you want. I can also write ‘warts and all’ obituaries, in the style of famous people’s in publications like The Economist or The New York Times.

All obituaries can be published on the sample obituaries section of my website if you so wish. Usually they are also printed and handed out at funeral or memorial services, and published in local newspapers.
