Our paramount objective is to create an enduring piece of writing that will honour you or your loved one as they were; their idiosyncrasies, as well as the things that made them remarkable. In order to proceed down this journey you need to be clear that by engaging our services the following information will apply.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

When you place an order with Live Life Twice you provide certain personal Information. This personal Information includes your name, email address and contact telephone number. It may also include the completed questionnaire and/or photo that you provide us or any other such materials.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE NOT COLLECT?

Your payment information is handled by our credit card processor or PayPal. We never see your full card details.

HOW DO WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION?

The information we routinely store is any completed obituary that you have specifically authorised us to display in the ‘Sample Obituaries’ section of our website. These Sample Obituaries are saved in secure servers by our third party hosting service, Crucial Paradigm Pty Ltd and are hosted at the world-class Equinix SY3 Datacentre in Sydney.

WHY DO WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION?

We store your personal information so we can communicate with you and for audit purposes just in case we need to review our paper trail. Your completed obituary would only be stored where you have specifically authorised us to display it in the ‘Sample Obituaries’ section of our website.

CONTENT AND COPYRIGHT

You have commissioned us to create an enduring piece of writing based on the information that you have provided. You own the copyright to the final product and are free to publish it (or not) in any medium or form that you wish. All copyright in the literary work relating to the final obituary is expressly assigned to you and you do not give up any rights by agreeing us to display the final obituary in the ‘Sample Obituaries’ of our website.

With regard to the content that you have provided, we will faithfully re-create who you or your loved ones are, as if you’re the protagonist in your own novel, or the star in your own film. You are responsible for ensuring that the content in your questionnaire is accurate and does not violate copyright or transgress laws in your country.

OPTING OUT

There a few things you can opt out of when you engage us:

* You do not have to display the final obituary in the ‘Sample Obituaries’ of our website.

* At the completion of our project you can request that all your personal information, including any materials that you have provided us, be removed/deleted from our system and secure servers.

THIRD PARTIES

We never share your information with third parties beyond those required to complete your project, e.g. payment processor.

Rest assured, we are not a corporate machine that has any interest in accessing, renting or selling your information to any third parties e.g. advertisers, data brokers, journalists, external businesses, deities, your disapproving relatives.

We will never share your completed questionnaire or any other information you choose to provide us unless authorised in writing by you or required to by law.
